Cue stores your account email and display name, password authentication data, uploaded source files, subtitles, project settings, and credit history. Project access is limited to your account and authorized service administration. Files and records are hosted using PocketBase on Railway.
If you choose Google sign-in, Cue receives your verified email address, display name, and Google account identifier to create or access your account. Cue does not request access to your Gmail messages or Google Drive files.
Audio and subtitle text are sent to Fal.ai to transcribe or translate when you request that processing. Fal may route requests to model providers. Their processing and retention terms apply. Do not upload sensitive material unless you are authorized to share it with these providers. Cue does not use your uploads to train its own models. Source audio is copied to Fal.ai's storage only for processing: the copy is set to expire automatically (within 24 hours by default) and Cue stops referencing it as soon as the job finishes or fails.
Polar handles card details when checkout is available; Cue receives purchase identifiers and account information needed to issue credits. Your browser stores a sign-in token and local interface state. Cue does not include advertising trackers.
Cue counts a small, fixed set of actions so the team can tell whether the public pages are useful: a page was opened, a signup or demo link was used, an account was created, a first subtitle file was exported, and a credit purchase was confirmed by our payment provider. These counts are first-party and aggregate. They use no cookies, no advertising trackers, and no cross-site identifiers, and they never include your email address, your files, your project names, or the text of your subtitles. Records are kept for 90 days by default and older records are pruned automatically.
Delete projects in Settings to remove source files and subtitles from active storage, and Cue releases its reference to the Fal.ai copy of the source audio right away. That copy is set to expire automatically (within 24 hours by default) even if Cue cannot release it. PocketBase backup retention may differ. You can also delete your entire account in Settings, which removes your active account records, projects, and remaining credits. Payment records held by Polar follow its own retention policy.
